| Is a non-profit corporation, founded in
1967. Historically, ASI has primarily represented a network of Black scientists,
engineers, technologists, and health professionals, as well as young people aspiring to
enter the world of science and technology. However, while still serving this network
and engaging in non-profit activity, current developments have required expansion of ASI
into some profit making components to enhance its overall objectives. This organization sponsors the Science and Technology Awareness Fair, produces the Blacks in Science Calendar, and is home to ASI Fellows. |
